Zombieland: Double Tap Gets Colorful Character Posters

It's been almost a decade since everyone fell in love with the zombie comedy Zombieland, and Columbus and the rest of the gang are coming back for Zombieland: Double Tap next month. Sony has dropped some new character posters for the film, and they also highlight some of the new faces of the apocalypse.

Besides the usual faces of Tallahassee, Wichita, Columbus, and Little Rock, we also have the likes of Nevada (Rosario Dawson), Madison (Zoey Deutch), Albuquerque (Luke Wilson), Flagstaff (Thomas Middleditch), and Berkeley (Avan Jogia). The trailers kind of give us an idea of what each of the new characters is going to be, but I'm hopeful for the film to have more surprises.

I love the first Zombieland film, and I thought it gave a fun spin to the genre when it came out. Besides the zombie-killing, I also thought that each of the characters was handled very well, and there were a lot of genuine heartfelt moments in the movie.

Not to mention one of the best cameos of all time:

A decade after Zombieland became a hit film and a cult classic, the lead cast (Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Abigail Breslin, and Emma Stone) have reunited with director Ruben Fleischer (Venom) and the original writers Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick (Deadpool) for Zombieland: Double Tap. In the sequel, written by Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick and Dave Callaham, through comic mayhem that stretches from the White House and through the heartland, these four slayers must face off against the many new kinds of zombies that have evolved since the first movie, as well as some new human survivors. But most of all, they have to face the growing pains of their own snarky, makeshift family.

Catch Zombieland: Double Tap in theaters Oct. 18.
