Westworld has Been Renewed for a Fourth Season

We'll have to wait until 2020 to get the third season of Westworld, but it looks like HBO is ready to keep the show going.

According to Discussing Film, HBO has already renewed the show for a fourth season, and it may begin shooting as soon as later this year. If that's the case, we could be looking at a release sometime in 2021, forgoing the usual one year skip that Westworld tends to do. Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy are expected to return as showrunners, and if things go smoothly, there could even be a Westworld Season 5.

After the disastrous ending of Game of Thrones, fans (and HBO themselves) are looking for a new series to be the flagship of the network. A lot of people assume that it's going to be Westworld, what with its topnotch quality in writing and production, but maybe it could also be Damon Lindelof's upcoming Watchmen series.

Going back to Westworld though, we still have no specifics on what to expect for the third season. We know that Dolores is going to be venturing outside the park this time around, but we're also going to be coming back based on Maeve and the WWII era sets that she's walking around in.

No specific release date has been set for Westworld Season 3 but we should expect it to come back to HBO in the first half of 2020.
