Watchmen: Official Image of the TV Series’ Version of the Minutemen

[SPOILERS FOR HBO'S WATCHMEN]

HBO's Watchmen just keeps getting better and better, and the last episode has confirmed multiple theories that Will Reeves' was the original Hooded Justice. The flashback episode was amazing, and there was even a small cameo from the original Minutemen; while we never got to give them all a good look, HBO has released an official group shot with Silhouette, Mothman, Dollar Bill, Nite Owl, The Comedian, Captain Metropolis, Silk Spectre, and Hooded Justice.

Check it out:

I don't know if it's just the nostalgia talking, but I thought the movie versions of the characters actually looked a lot better. I mean, check out this version:

Dollar Bill is way more "superhero-y" and Silk Spectre and Silhouette really look the part. I doubt we'll get to see these Minutemen in the series again though, so I can understand why they didn't really have to cast the characters to look at fancy as they do in the movie. I guess they also wanted the picture to look accurate to the Minutemen in the comic.

The idea that Hooded Justice is a secret black man was mindblowing, and everyone was right to think that his origin of being evacuated from Tulsa was ripped straight out of Superman's story. I just think it's cool how Justice in this world was basically the first superhero, and it kind of changes the whole story.

I cannot wait to see what else goes down in the remaining episodes.

Catch Watchmen Sunday nights on HBO.
