Watchmen: HBO has Revealed How Laurie Blake/Silk Spectre Became an FBI Agent

[POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR HBO'S WATCHMEN]

HBO's Watchmen has continued to deliver with every episode, but one thing that the show hasn't revealed yet is how Laurie Blake managed to get out of trouble after she was caught ‘superhero-ing' in the 90s. Thanks to the official "Peteypedia" site, we have a hint at what she did to land her a job at the FBI.

As it turns out, she could have told the government about Ozymandias' conspiracy with the giant squid, granting her a pardon and a position working for the Feds. Here's the final entry from her supposed transcript:

While some may cry this out to be a spoiler, it's likely that HBO won't be revealing Laurie's full story on the show, hence the Peteypedia entry. After all, Laurie is now a side character, with the main story focused on the new generation of "Watchmen" like Sister Night and Looking Glass.

Then again, these "leaks" are just supplemental material, and I guess the main audience who doesn't bother with the extra lore would want to have an in-show explanation of what happened to the original Watchmen.

I have to say, Lindelof has managed to exceed expectations with Watchmen, and has put up a worthy successor to the original Alan Moore comic. Rather than an adaptation, he's found a way to extend the story while at the same time give us a setting that is more socially relevant to the times—just like the original comic was.

Catch Watchmen Sunday nights on HBO.
