Cardi B had recently gone viral again with her latest video WAP, and editor Omar Villegas has decided it’s the perfect time to make another video where Cardi B provides all the sound effects for Star Wars.

Check it out:

This actually isn’t the first video, and he had released Cardi B x Star Wars way back in 2018. Personally I don’t listen much to Cardi B, but it looks like he’s taking isolated sounds from her songs and just putting them over Star Wars clips. It’s comedy gold.  In a franchise where sound design is iconic, who would have thought that a crossover with artists Cardi B was what Star Wars fans needed in this trying time?

Here’s the 2018 video:

And just in case you’re curious, here’s Cardi B’s new video that’s been going around. I have to warn you though, it’s rather explicit (and this isn’t even the explicit version of the song):

If anything, Star Wars manages to draw in artists from every corner of entertainment media. Just look at Solo: A Star Wars Story which had Donald Glover a.k.a. Childish Gambino plays Lando Calrissian. Even Lando’s co-pilot L3-37 was played by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who writes her own (very adult) show Fleabag. I guess one of the greatest things about Star Wars is its ability to bring together multiple creative elements and give us something entirely new.

For now, everyone is waiting on the second season of The Mandalorian which debuts this October on Disney+.
