After a successful release back in 2018, John Krasinski is back at the helm for the follow-up, A Quiet Place Part II. With the movie set to come out next month, we have a new spot that teases a chase scene between the Abbott's and the mysterious alien creatures.
If anything, this looks like the scene that will introduce Cillian Murphy's character to the family. We don't know much about him yet, but it looks like he lost his son on the day of the invasion. It would be interesting to see what kind of dynamic he's going to have with the family. Then again, Murphy is best known for playing villains, so I'm already guessing he would be making some sort of betrayal in the movie.
I have to say, I thought that a sequel to A Quiet Place was ill-conceived, seeing as the first movie was already solid. But it would be interesting to watch how this world unfolds onscreen. Besides following the story of the surviving Abbotts, we're also going to watch what happened on the day of the invasion. We know that the Abbotts kind of survived because they knew how to communicate without words thanks to Regan's disability, but I'm interested in seeing the specifics.
Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.
