Besides Thor: Love and Thunder, Taika Waititi is set to direct two animated shows for Netflix based on stories by beloved children's author Roald Dahl. While he can't start work on any of those shows soon, Waititi has taken the time to sit down and read James and the Giant Peach for charity.

Join filmmaker, Taika Waititi as he reads James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl, in full across 10 episodes, to raise money for Partners in Health, who are operating at the front line in the battle against COVID-19 in some of the most vulnerable parts of the world. Roald Dahl and partners will be matching every donation made.

Here's the first episode where Waititi reads it with stars Chris and Liam Hemsworth, and Nick Kroll. Check it out:

The episode only has the four reading the first 4 chapters of the book, and the second episode features guest stars Meryl Streep and Benedict Cumberbatch.

New episodes are also available every Monday, and we're sure to see more guest stars arrive. With a good chunk of the guest stars already having worked with Waititi in Thor: Ragnarok, I'm sure we're going to see more of people he's worked with like Jeff Goldblum and Tom Hiddleston. Maybe even Jojo Rabbit stars can make an appearance like Sam Rockwell, Scarlett Johansson, and Rebel Wilson.

I have to say, Waititi is making himself pretty busy. After working on Best Goal Wins, he has Thor: Love and Thunder, then an upcoming Star Wars movie. Between that, he has the two Roald Dahl animated shows, and the adaptation of Akira.

I mean, he's a good director, but I'd hate to see him swallow more than he could chew. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Thor: Love and Thunder is set to come out on Feb. 18, 2022.
