Disneyland Resort has just opened their Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge expansion, and besides the rides, there are also some characters walking around and interacting with the guests. Watch this fun video of a kid being interrogated by troopers and Kylo Ren for the location of Chewbacca:
I don't know if this is a script of improv, but the exchange between the troopers and this Kylo are very on point with the characters. The troopers try to blame the kid on the missing Wookiee, and Kylo just goes and blames the trooper saying, "They are not the ones who have failed here."
I have to hand it to the little girl in the video. She didn't cry or get scared at all.
This wasn't part of the bit, but if you look at the back, there's a new kind of TIE called the TIE Echelon. Some think this will premiere in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, but I wouldn't be confused if it just ends up being made for the park specifically. I mean, there are already classic TIEs and X-Wings; it's great that we get a look at some other ships.
It would be amazing if the park changed eras every few years, replacing ships with Naboo starfighters or changing troopers to classic clones. With all the emphasis on the Sequel trilogy, I'm sure there are some older fans who would love to walk around and immerse themselves in a world of Jedi or even the classic OT.
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is already open at the Disneyland Resort.
