While everyone is still waiting for the return of Rick and Morty, Hulu has decided to drop their new trailer for Solar Opposites, another sci-fi show from Rick and Morty co-creator Justin Roiland.

Here’s the official description:

Solar Opposites centers around a team of four aliens who escape their exploding home world only to crash land into a move-in ready home in suburban America. They are evenly split on whether Earth is awful or awesome. Korvo (Justin Roiland) and Yumyulack (Sean Giambroni) only see the pollution, crass consumerism, and human frailty while Terry (Thomas Middleditch) and Jesse (Mary Mack) love humans and all their TV, junk food and fun stuff. Their mission: protect the Pupa, a living super computer that will one day evolve into its true form, consume them and terraform the Earth.

On the surface, it pretty much looks like another version of Rick and Morty. There’s still a family dynamic in the center of the show, and the character voiced by Roiland seems like another scientist who handles most of the family’s main problems.

I guess if it had to be different, there seems to be an absence of nihilism that is prevalent with Rick and Morty. This time, the characters have a specific goal in mind, and I guess the show is going to evolve in a sense that they will want to keep the Earth saved and prevent the Pupa from terraforming it.

At least, that’s my guess.

Catch Solar Opposites when it hits Hulu on May 8.
