Was Joker Supposed to be in Zack Snyder's Justice League?

It took three years of fanboy pestering, but WB has eventually folded and is giving us Zack Snyder's Justice League next year. A lot of people are curious about what to expect in the film, but now there seems to be a possibility that Jared Leto's Joker had made an appearance.

@RTAyerCutSS had shared on Twitter that Snyder had liked a post on Vero wondering if Leto has an appearance in Justice League. Check it out:

While we do know that villains like Lex Luthor and Deathstroke make an appearance, we weren't really expecting someone like Joker to be in the film. If fact, even when the DCEU was in full swing in the early days, we weren't expecting a clash between Ben Affleck's Batman and Leto's Joker to happen so soon; at best we could have gotten it in the second Batman solo film.

If anything, some guess that Joker could have appeared in another Knightmare scene. Snyder had teased recently that we could get another look at the apocalyptic vision from Batman v Superman, and it would be interesting if it was revealed that the Joker had become Batman's ally of some sort. Crazier things have happened in the comics.

We don't have a release date for Zack Snyder's Justice League yet, but hopefully, we get a solid slate before the year ends. Besides that, fans also have their fingers crossed that David Ayer's Suicide Squad gets released on HBO Max as well.

Zack Snyder's Justice League is set to hit HBO Max sometime in 2021.
