October is almost here which means we're getting closer to the release date of Sony's Venom. A new clip has been released from the movie, and it features Venom taking down an entire SWAT team.

Check it:

No doubt, Venom looks absolutely awesome in the film, but his lines have just been hit and miss so far. I do think it's cool how this version seems to be sensitive to sound as well; when the bombs blow up near him, you can see the Symbiote reacting to move in the opposite direction.

Just analyzing the scene, it looks like this happens when Brock is a tad more familiar with the symbiote already, otherwise, why would he be talking to it? The way his powers are executed look pretty cool, and it's fun how he just wails at people and tosses them around.

Admittedly, most of the criticism that's coming to this film is Sony's decision to have a Venom origin that has nothing to do with Spider-Man. In the comics, Venom's origin is very closely tied to Peter Parker, that's why he has the white spider logo. For this film, they've chosen to drop Spider-Man; resulting in a lot of criticism from fans. What use is bringing Spider-Man's nemesis to film if he may never even get to clash with Spider-Man at all?

Some are holding their breath that Sony is just pulling back on the reveal that this film is connected to the MCU. Otherwise, they're just waiting for the film to fail so Sony can keep all the Spidey characters that much closer to Spider-Man.

Catch Venom in theaters Oct. 5.
