Venom Co-Creator on the Changes He Would Have Made to the Film

Though I thought the Venom movie was a step back for comic book films, I have to admit that the film does get a few things right here and there. For one, the film got the characterization of Venom down pat. The thing is, Venom co-creator Todd McFarlane has a few notes on what he would have changed in the film.

Talking to Collider, McFarlane explains that he would have made Venom's teeth a tad more inconsistent, saying that he's a fan of animal teeth and how they look a certain way. There's also a small issue with the way he draws the eyes.

Of course, McFarlane himself admits that these changes he wants are ‘nitpicky' and they're not really anything to gripe over. Personally, I love how Venom looked as a character, and McFarlane admits it's a huge improvement from the Venom that we got from Spider-Man 3.

I would have loved to see what McFarlane had to say about the story of the film overall, but with the Blu-Ray coming out, I don't think he's allowed to actually trash the film on air. Of course, he did say he liked it, but he didn't mention anything about story. He just said it got a pass because they made Venom as bulky as McFarlane meant him to be.

Venom is currently available on digital, and will come to Blu-Ray and DVD on Dec. 18.
