Troy Baker’s Character in Death Stranding Revealed in New TGS 2018 Clip

Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding is probably one of the most anticipated games of the year, but no matter how much it's hyped, we still have no idea about the full structure of the game. Thanks to the Tokyo Game Show 2018, a new clip has been released, and it reveals to us the character voiced by Troy Baker

We don't really have a name for the character, but he's called The Man with the Golden Mask. Whatever setting this world is in, it looks like the humans have to stay away from a specific type of creature, and based on the clip, Baker's character could very well be a human that works for the aliens.

Then again, these are all just speculations on my end.

I'm really happy to see Baker attached to the game. He may not be as big a star as the likes of Norman Reedus or Mads Mikkelsen, but when it comes to games, he's probably one of the most beloved actors in the industry. Baker provides the voices for Booker in Bioshock Infinite as well as Joel from The Last of Us; he can even do a spot on Mark Hamill Joker impression and took over the character for Batman: Arkham Origins.

I also think it's worth noting that the voice actor for the Japanese version of Golden Mask is Satoshi Mikami. He voiced Ocelot in Metal Gear V and is the official Japanese dub actor for Benedict Cumberbatch.

No release date has been announced for Death Stranding, but by the looks of it, we could be seeing it hit shelves by 2019.
