Timothy Olyphant Said to be Wearing Boba Fett’s Armor in The Mandalorian Season 2

The second season of The Mandalorian has announced a lot of stars joining the cast, and one of them is said to be Once Upon a Time in Hollywood's Timothy Olyphant. While we don't have official details of Olyphant's role in the series, word has it that he's going to be donning Boba Fett's armor in the show.

As suggested by /Film, Olyphant won't be playing Fett, but rather a character named Cobb Vanth who was introduced in the Aftermath book by Chuck Wendig. Vanth is a self-appointed sheriff in the settlement of Freetown in Tatooine, and it's said that he managed to purchase the armor from a bunch of Jawas who had found it while they salvaged Jabba's barge after the events of Return of the Jedi.

Of course, this is just a guess on /Film's part, but they are reporting that Olyphant will be donning the green Mandalorian armor that belonged to Fett.

As for Boba Fett himself, everyone is expecting him to be played by Temuera Morrison, who played Jango Fett in Attack of the Clones. Morrison is actually rumored to be playing two characters for the show, one being Boba, and the other being Captain Rex from The Clone Wars. We don't know how large a role it actually is, but everyone is excited to see him back in the Star Wars universe.

For now, The Mandalorian is set to return to Disney+ this coming October.
