These Toy Story 4 Toys ‘Play Dead’ When You Tell Them ‘Someone’s Coming’

Toy Story 4 comes out later this month, and of course the movie is going to have some neat tie-in merchandising. Just in, there are some new figures from ThinkWay that ‘play dead' when they hear that "Someone's coming."

It's oddly creepy; check it out:

Not to be nitpicky, but I think that they should have made it so the limbs flop around more when they go down, but it's cool that the toys gave specific responses, depending on what you say.

What's funny though, is that the move seems to be taken from a meme that went around in Disneyland a couple of years ago. It was said that when you yelled, "Andy's coming!" at the Toy Story characters, they would drop down and pretend to be lifeless. I guess this worked for a while, but Disney decided to tell the mascots to stop doing it since it could damage the suits, and it could lead to some accidents. Imagine if that Buzz suit fell on a small child.

For now, it looks like Woody and the gang are all ready for one last adventure onscreen. I mean, I thought Toy Story 3 capped things off nicely, but if Pixar wants this story told, I guess we should just see where it goes.

Catch Toy Story 4 when it hits theaters June 21.
