The Witcher Season 2 Reveals New Nilfgaardian Armor That Isn't Terrible

Though The Witcher was considered a huge success for Netflix, the show is admittedly not perfect. One of the big complaints was the look of the Nilfgaardian armor; but good news is, it looks like they'll have something that looks more elegant for the second season.

RedanianIntelligence.com has shared some new images of the Nilfgaardian armor, and they've traded off their black ‘melted' armor for something that look a bit more regal; you could even say they look like the Kingsguard armor from Game of Thrones.

You can check out the images here.

The images have Cahir (Eamon Farren) sporting the new black and golden armor. Behind him, you can also see the sorceress Fringilla Vigo (Mimi Ndiweni). It's said that the second season had hired a new costume designer, and it's probably for the better, seeing that the Nilfgaardian armor looked so bad in season one you couldn't take them seriously as the series villains.

Hopefully, showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich has improved upon the weaknesses of the first season. I have to say, no amount of Henry Cavill nudity is going to save the show when the value of VFX can be questionable at times, and not all storylines are solid. Don't even get me started on the "hit" song Toss a Coin to Your Witcher.

The Witcher Season 2 is set to come out on Netflix sometime in 2021, but you can catch the full first season now streaming on the platform.
