Every Star Wars fan who had done their research knows that Harrison Ford wanted Han Solo to die way back in the Original Trilogy, and he finally got his wish when Kylo Ren stabbed him in The Force Awakens. We know that Ford came back one last time in The Rise of Skywalker, and Ford talks a bit about it on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

You have to note how Ford clearly detaches himself from the idea to bring Han back. He says, "J.J. [Abrams] said, ‘This is a good idea. I, J.J., have decided that this is a good idea, and I would like you to do it.'"
Knowing Ford, he was probably not so keen on coming back, but seeing that they had lost Carrie Fisher—who was originally supposed to play a more substantial role—it would have made sense for another legacy character to appear in some way.
While a lot of people like to trash on The Rise of Skywalker, a lot of people agree that the moment where Ben Solo sees Han is one of the most heartfelt in the movie. Too bad it had to be in that movie.
Though Ford may seem to be done with the character, a lot of fans have been clamoring for Lucasfilm to bring back Alden Ehrenreich for a sequel to Solo: A Star Wars Story. Whether it be a film or a Disney+ series, as long as we get to #MakeSolo2Happen, it will be all good.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits digital on March 26 and Blu-Ray/DVD on April 10.
