The Rise of Skywalker: Enhanced Photo from the Trailer Reveals a Shot of Kylo Without a Scar

Rey had scarred Kylo Ren in the face way back in The Force Awakens, and it's been a prominent feature for the heir to Lord Vader. What's interesting is, there's actually a shot of Kylo from the final trailer that doesn't feature his scar.

While the uploader thought the app used to enhance the photo had removed the scar, some other people who've worked on the pic have said that a scar wasn't there at all. We don't know if this means anything significant in the story, but I wouldn't put it past Lucasfilm to have that kind of sloppy detail.

Is this from a flashback? Does Kylo lose his scars eventually? Some say that Rey could possibly "Force Heal" him, making his scars disappear as a visual metaphor. After The Last Jedi, we basically have a new sense of what the Force is capable of.

I have to say, one of the best-written characters in the Sequel Trilogy is Kylo Ren, and a lot of people are very interested to see just how far the character will evolve. With no Snoke looming over him, he's become the top officer of the First Order, and that's just filled to the brim with the potential of how his story will end.

Catch Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker when it hits theaters Dec. 20.
