The Office's Mindy Kaling has Talked to Marvel about Kamala Khan a.k.a. Ms. Marvel

Ever since Captain Marvel was introduced to the MCU, everyone has been asking if Marvel Studios will ever introduce her predecessor Kamala Khan a.k.a. Ms. Marvel. As it turns out, Marvel is pretty excited about bringing the character to the universe, and they've already talked to Mindy Kaling (The Office) about it.

Talking to MTV News, Kaling explained:

"I think the people I've spoken to at Marvel are so excited about the character, and I think they're trying to figure out what to do with it, and I told them I would help in any way because I truly love [Kamala Khan]."

Though there doesn't seem to be any solid plans, for now, Kaling thinks that Kamala could be introduced via the streaming platform Disney+. Personally, I wouldn't be opposed to a full movie—especially counting what Kamala kind of represents in the Marvel universe, being the first Pakistani-American superhero in Marvel.

Then again, I understand the risk that Marvel has to take if they want to introduce Kamala via a full-blown film. The character is not as mainstream as most, and just seeing the violent reaction of some "fans" to Captain Marvel, we could be looking at a bigger pushback with Kamala Khan.

With Kamala's age, I think it would be great to introduce her as a classmate of Peter Parker's. It would be fun to see some more heroes that are Peter's age, and she could be a fine addition to the New Avengers (I mean if Marvel is planning that already). Kaling did some great work with The Office, and if she could add some more charisma and character to someone like Kamala onscreen, I think the MCU would be ready to have her soon.

Kamala Khan has not been officially announced for the MCU.
