The Mandalorian Star Gina Carano is Being Harassed Online by Bots and ‘SJW Trolls’

Star Wars may be one of the biggest box office franchises, but it does suffer from having the most terrible fanbase you can find on the internet. Multiple actresses from Daisy Ridley to Kelly Marie Tran have found themselves being bullied online, and their next target is apparently The Mandaloriani's Cara Dune, Gina Carano.

The whole thing apparently started with Carano posting an old photo of a man surrounded by Nazi supporters refusing to do the salute. This then resulted in a barrage of hate tagging her as a racist and wanting her to get canceled.

True to Cara Dune though, Carano is refusing to back down and is calling all of these haters ‘cowards'. By the looks of it, she really hasn't done anything to merit any serious backlash—unless these trolls decide to pull a James Gunn and start digging into Carano's old social media for some dirt.

I have to say, cancel culture has become kind of a 2-edged sword online. While it can be used to call out actual abusers and criminals, it can also sometimes go too far. By any case, sexists and white supremacists can also use it to their advantage, what with groups ‘review bombing' things they find ‘too political'; just look at The Last of Us Part II and HBO's Watchmen.

Hopefully, Carano manages to get through this, and hopefully, her employers will be aware of the true intentions of these nasty comments.

Catch Carano in the second season of The Mandalorian which comes out this October on Disney+.
