The Invisible Man Director Thinks it's 'Terrible' We Haven't Gotten the Snyder Cut

More than two years after the release of Justice League, everyone is still talking about #ReleasetheSnyderCut. A lot of people have been debating about whether to keep pushing for the release online, and The Invisible Man director Leigh Wannell has chimed in on what he thinks about the cut existing.

Talking to the ReelBlend podcast (via Newsweek), Wannell says, "To me, I never wanna have another cut sitting somewhere that competes with the original cut… I guess what I'm saying is, whatever circumstances created that cut, whatever horrible circumstances are totally understandable. For me personally, I would always view it as a terrible thing that there was an unseen cut of the film."

Despite a lot of people denying the cut's existence, Snyder himself has gone out to say that the cut is done; it's just a matter of polishing the VFX.

We don't know what Snyder is planning with all these teases online, but he must be building up to something if he's going to keep us hanging after all this time. Otherwise, why would he be constantly teasing us with these photos and clips?

While we don't expect a theatrical re-release of Snyder's Justice League, some are hoping that HBO Max will pick up the film and release it exclusively on their platform. It's probably the cheapest option when it comes to distribution, but we don't know if WB is seriously considering it. All the fans can really do is make noise until something happens.

Though #ReleasetheSnyderCut hasn't been confirmed, you can check out Wonder Woman 1984 in theaters June 2. As for Wannell, The Invisible Man hits theaters Feb. 28.
