The Good Place Renewed for 4th Season

Michael Schur's The Good Place is currently ongoing with its third season, but it seems that NBC is confident enough to have more of Eleanor Shellstrop finding out what it truly means to be good.

As per TV line, NBC has renewed The Good Place for a fourth season. We don't know what to expect yet, seeing that Season Three still has a couple more episodes to go, but I guess that it will have something to do with the four protagonists making their way back the afterlife.

Though The Good Place is a sitcom, I have to say that each season has had quite a different format depending on what kind of big revelation is made. Season 1 had the build-up to Eleanor realizing that everyone was in the Bad Place all along, and Season 2 had a repeated timeline where Michael actually turns good and wants his new friends in the real Good Place.

With Season 3, we've been following the characters back on Earth as Michael tries to prove that they've ultimately changed. With all the revelations coming to the show, it's slowly building up to the eternal beings to realize that their "point system" for determining good and bad people is actually terribly flawed.

As I said, the show has been kind of a whirlwind when it comes to your standard sitcom, so my guess for what's happening in the fourth season is just as good as anyone's. Personally, I just hope that the show is building up to a proper ending and not just making things up as they go along.

Catch The Good Place 3 Thursdays on NBC.
