The GCPD Chase Down the Joker in New Set Video

While WB is trying to get us excited for the release of Aquaman later this year, production is ongoing for Todd Phillips' Joker movie starring Joaquin Phoenix. A new set video has made its way online, and it looks to be the scene before the infamous ‘riot' setpiece that we saw a few weeks back.

Check it out:

Phoenix is still pretty much in the same outfit we saw him in, but it adds to that Batman lore that the police are declaring themselves as "Gotham PD." We also see that the train is filled with the rioters wearing the clown masks.

If we can piece this from what we've already seen from set videos and photos, the GCPD will hunt down Joker into a train, only to have him hiding in a crowd full of people wearing clown masks. We know that Joker himself will be wearing a mask of his own, and when the full riot breaks out, he'll walk out of the train and pull of the mask all Dark Knight-like.

Though initially skeptical when it was first announced, a lot of people are starting to love what they've been seeing with this Joker movie. After Jared Leto's underwhelming performance in Suicide Squad, I think everyone just wants to see the character done right since Heath Ledger's take back in 2008.

Catch Joker in theaters Oct. 4, 2019.
