The Dark Knight Returns in Trailer for Animated Batman: Hush

While the DCEU is slowly picking itself up with films like Aquaman and Shazam!, WB Animation has been making good with their animated takes on classic comic stories. Just in they've released their first trailer for Batman: Hush.

Here's the official description:

An adaptation of the seminal DC classic tale, Batman: Hush centers on a shadowy new villain known only as Hush, who uses Gotham's Rogues Gallery to destroy Batman's crime-fighting career, as well as Bruce Wayne's personal life - which has already been complicated by a relationship with Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman.

Though Hush never did get the same prestige as classic villains like the Joker or Ra's al Ghul, he remains to be one of the best villains to come out of a contemporary comic. He's been referenced in the Arkham games, and it's also rumored that he's being considered as the main villain for the upcoming Batman solo movie.

As for the Batman solo film, director Matt Reeves is set to start production early 2020. Hopefully by then we know who's going to be playing a younger Batman and probably the rest of his rogues gallery. If we're lucky maybe Jeremy Irons could come back as Alfred because his casting was just perfect.

As for Batman: Hush, the movie is set to come out in the late summer of this year.
