The Batman: Possible Set Video has Thugs with Painted Faces Attacking Civilians

After what seemed like an eternity, Matt Reeves' The Batman is finally undergoing production, and though we haven't had any official promo material, some set videos and photos have been coming up online. Just in, we have a video of some thugs with painted faces attacking civilians.

You can check it out here.

No Gotham villain is complete without his gang of thugs, and it's possible that these goons are working for the Penguin in the film. Then again, it does seem like they have some kind of clown make-up, so I'm curious if the Joker is actually going to have a presence in this movie?

We know that Joaquin Phoenix's Joker was supposed to be a one off, but the Clown Prince of Crime is still the Batman's biggest rival. With this one supposedly bringing us to a new reality, it's possible that we could be introduced to a whole new Joker that isn't played by Jared Leto or Phoenix. How funny would it be if they got Taylor Lautner to be Joker for this film?

Then again, we have no confirmation if this scene is official, but for now, it's great to speculate. That's all the fans can really do until WB decides to release some official footage.

For now, it looks like DC is going to be peddling the release of Wonder Woman 1984, now that Birds of Prey is out. My guess is that we're going to get a bunch of trailers in July in time for SDCC. Maybe we can get a first look at The Batman, The Suicide Squad, Black Adam, and The Flash.

Catch The Batman when it hits theaters June 25, 2021.
