Taika Waititi's Korg Said to Have a Larger Role in Thor: Love and Thunder

If you've followed Taika Waititi's filmography, you'll know that he has a penchant for putting himself in his movies, whether it be big or substantial roles. He introduced the MCU to Korg with Thor: Ragnarok, and it looks like he'll be returning in the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder.

According to HN Entertainment, Korg is said to have a larger role this time around. No details were really given out, but if Korg is going to come back, I assume we'll also get more of his bug friend Miek. The last we saw of the two were in New Asgard in Avengers: Endgame, and we didn't really see them blast off along with Thor and the Guardians. Hopefully, Waititi has something fun planned for the two characters.

Of course, we should take in mind that Korg's larger role is just a rumor for now, but seeing that Korg was such a hit with Ragnarok, I'd expect Waititi to use him more moving forward. Fingers crossed we also get to see Waititi in the movie as himself, without the CGI, for once.

Besides Korg, the movie is set to see the return of Valkyrie and Thor. We're also getting the comeback of one Jane Foster played by Natalie Portman, and it's said we'll be getting her version of ‘The Mighty Thor.'

Thor: Love and Thunder is set to come out on Nov. 5, 2021, but you can catch Waititi's other film Jojo Rabbit, when hits theaters Oct. 18.
