TLJ’s Admiral Holdo Returning for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker?

We met Laura Dern's Admiral Holdo in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and though she had sacrificed herself near the end of the film, a rumor is coming out that Dern will be making an appearance in next month's The Rise of Skywalker.

This comes from The DisInsider's Skyler Shuler:

Shuler known to be a reliable source for insider scoops, and it's very likely that the report is accurate. But for now, I guess all we can really do is wait for the film to come out.

With Holdo having died in the last film, I can only imagine her making a return in the form of a flashback, but since Star Wars is a lover of twins, I wouldn't be surprised if Holdo had some kind of twin (or clone) that we can meet in the present.

Admittedly, not a lot of people are big fans of Holdo from the last film, but a lot of the noise is likely coming from fans who are hating her for the wrong reason. I kind of like how the character turned out in the film, and if I could only share one gripe, it's the fact that the writers didn't find a better way to get Poe Dameron to distrust her. I mean, we know she's a new face, and she had every right to not tell Poe her plan; but if the film explained somehow why she was being secretive, I guess we'd get a lot fewer complainers.

For now, fans wait for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker to hit theaters on Dec. 20.
