Star Wars The Last Jedi Gets Some New Official Posters

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is barely three months away, and Lucasfilm is hard at work with promotion to get everyone hyped up for the film. We just got a new batch of posters for the movie, and it showcases all the returning heroes as well as some new things that will be introduced in TLJ.

For one, we get this sweet darkside/lightside poster of Rey facing off with Kylo Ren. It's said that Kylo will be holding a grudge against Rey for his defeat in The Force Awakens, and he's out to settle the score. I'm thinking another loss in the hands of Rey would be redundant, and TLJ will have us seeing Kylo take the upper hand.

We also have this other poster featuring some new characters in the movie including Rose Tico as well as the executioner specialist stormtrooper. We also have a new look at the new "Gorilla Walkers" in the film, which are said to be tougher than the original AT-ATs—meaning that wrapping a wire around their legs won't be enough to topple them.

After TFA was criticized for being too close to the original Star Wars, I'm hoping director Rian Johnson has something entirely new for us in The Last Jedi. Say what you will about the prequels, but George Lucas attempted to introduce something completely new to the universe. Let's hope this sequel trilogy manages to do the same.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi comes out Dec. 15.
