Star Wars TROS Toy Reveals Poe Dameron's New Orange X-Wing

Poe Dameron has always been defined as an X-Wing pilot in the sequel trilogy, but his signature black X-Wing was blown up in The Last Jedi. What's cool is, Poe gets a new starship in The Rise of Skywalker, and Hasbro's Vintage Collection gives us a good look at his orange X-Wing.

This comes from Yakface on Twitter:

While I didn't think that orange was the most tactical color for a ship, I guess it kind of matches the colors of BB-8 who is also orange and white. We haven't seen this new X-Wing in any of the promos, but hopefully, we get a good look when Lucasfilm drops a full trailer for TROS.

Besides the X-Wing, The Rise of Skywalker is also set to give other classic ships like the Y-Wings and A-Wings a comeback. A B-Wing had also been spotted in the last teaser as well as the Tantive IV.

I don't know about you, but I actually like seeing new ships in Star Wars. I was a big fan of the bombers from The Last Jedi, and though I love the classic ships, I thought the Y-Wing was pretty outdated. I mean, if we consider the canon, the Y-Wing was a Clone Wars era ship and was considered outdated by the Battle of Yavin. That's why they were all replaced by B-Wings in Return of the Jedi.

Then again, maybe there's an interesting story behind the Y-Wing in TROS. A LEGO set had revealed that the new character Zorii Bliss would be driving one. I'm all up for a bandit squadron with repainted old ships of any shape and size. This is just speculation on my point though, so we'll have to wait for the film to find out what's what.

Catch Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in theaters Dec. 20.
