Star Wars TROS: New Images Released for a Knight of Ren and Sith Jet Trooper

With Triple Force Friday having come and gone, Lucasfilm is now slowly pushing the marketing for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Just in, we have new photos for a Knight of Ren as well as a Sith Jet Trooper.

Check them out:

For now, the origin of both is still a mystery, but hopefully everything will be answered when the credits start rolling.

After a cameo in The Force Awakens, the Knights of Ren were kind of dropped in Star Wars: The Last Jedi so Kylo can have an impersonal fight with the red Praetorian guards. We don't really know what their function is when it comes to the First Order, but it's likely that their leader is still Kylo Ren.

As for the Sith Jet Trooper, it's the first variation we have of the Sith Troopers which is rumored to be a secret army that Palpatine had kept hidden away way back in the days of the Empire. Rumor has it that the Sith troopers are way more elite than the regular stormtroopers, and I wonder if these Jet Troopers are the same troopers are rumored to be piloting the new TIE Daggers; it's said that the pilots go the extra mile because after their ship is destroyed, they jump out of the cockpit and start fighting in jetpacks like a group of Boba Fetts.

Of course, I'm just basing everything on rumors and speculation. Lucasfilm is keeping very mum about details of the film, and it's possible we'll know more about these guys when the movie finally comes out.

Catch Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker when it hits theaters Dec. 20.
