Star Wars: Mark Hamill Corrects a Piece of Trivia About Him Shooting ‘Empire’ on His Son’s Birthday

Mark Hamill can't spill anything about Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, but from time to time, he'll give us some interesting anecdotes about his time working on Star Wars. The Jedi Council has put up this piece of trivia about Hamill shooting on the day his son was born and Hamill took to Twitter to correct the info.

Hamill reveals that he was actually asked to shoot after his son was born and although it was for Empire, it was actually for a scene on Hoth and not Cloud City:

You can even see that in the photo, Hamill has supposedly brought in some Champaign to celebrate with the crew on his son's birthday. I suspect the outfit he's wearing is the bottom of his snowspeeder pilot garb.

For now, Hamill has somewhat confirmed that he'll be returning as a Force ghost in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Then again, I wouldn't put it past the film to actually give us a flashback sequence with Luke during Kylo's massacre at his Jedi temple. I mean, I prefer the story just move forward, but I'm sure a lot of fans still feel cheated that they never got to see Luke go all out with his Jedi powers in The Last Jedi.

We're expecting a full trailer for the film at SDCC 2019, and hopefully, we get an online release of the trailer for Disney+'s The Mandalorian. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker comes out Dec. 20.
