After Star Wars Battlefront II, EA is finally moving forward with another SW title with Fallen Order. The game is set to come out later this year, and good news, we could be getting our first look at Star Wars Celebration.
A panel for Star Wars: Fallen Order has been announced by StarWars.com, and they write, "In a special panel on Saturday, April 13, EA and Respawn will pull back the curtain on Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, in which gamers will meet a Padawan who survived Order 66 and explore the galaxy in the time after the fall of the Jedi Order. The discussion will feature never-before-released details ahead of the game's fall 2019 release."
The game is said to focus on more offline platforming, and will likely be a spiritual successor of The Force Unleashed games. We don't have any more details on what to expect from the game, but it would be interesting to keep exploring the transitional era between the Republic and the Empire.
After it was announced that EA had canceled the Star Wars game that Visceral was working on, a lot of fans have protested, seeing that the studio has not been doing their best when it comes to their Star Wars license. Whereas Disney has been making everything from Star Wars TV series to theme parks, the last SW game that EA managed to pump out was Star Wars Battlefront II back in 2017.
I'm actually a bit skeptical that Fallen Order will release within the year, but hopefully, a first look will manage to wow enough fans to get hyped up for the game. I mean, Battlefront is fun, but it doesn't really have that lightsaber combat that a lot of fans crave.
No release date has been announced for Star Wars: Fallen Order.
