Star Wars Episode IX: Is John Boyega Teasing an Appearance at Celebration 2019?

We may have not gotten an event last year, but Star Wars Celebration is set for a comeback this April. Star Wars Episode IX is expected to be the biggest thing promoted at the event, and it's possible that John Boyega would be making an appearance.

He just posted the official poster of Celebration 2019 on his Instagram:

Though it's not an official announcement that he would be coming, it's still very likely that he (along with the rest of the cast) would be making an appearance. Star Wars Episode IX is probably one of the most anticipated movies of the year, and it would make sense that Lucafilm would want to go big by bringing the entire cast together for Celebration.

Everyone was hoping for at least a title drop last January, but the month has come and gone and no title for Episode IX in sight. There's also a rumor going around that a teaser for Episode IX will be dropped during the SuperBowl today, but multiple sources have come out to say that it's not happening.

Whatever Lucasfilm has planned, I'm sure it's still going to get everyone hyped for Star Wars Episode IX by the end of the year. The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi had crazy good marketing. It's kind of shame that Disney didn't think that Solo: A Star Wars Story from last year deserved the same attention.

Star Wars Celebration 2019 takes place April 11–15. Star Wars Episode IX comes out Dec. 20.
