Star Wars Battlefront II: The Rise of Skywalker DLC Confirmed

With Star Wars Battlefront II adding all the Clone Wars content since last year, a lot of fans were wondering when we were ever going to get content from the other Star Wars eras. Good news is, we're actually going to have DLC for the upcoming Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

In the latest community transmission, the developers write:

We will also be working toward the release of content inspired by Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

While we don't want to go into the exact specifics (no spoilers!), we can confirm that we will be building a new planet and some new reinforcements based on the conclusion to the galaxy-spanning Skywalker Saga.

We'll be back with more details on each of the above as we get closer to their release.

While we don't have any details on what's to come, I'm excited to see what kind of reinforcements they can bring from the Sequel Trilogy era. My guess is they're going to make the Knights of Ren or Praetorian Guards playable for the First Order, and maybe they'll have a new type of alien (or droid) to counter for the Resistance.

Personally, I'm hoping for new skins for the heroes already in the game. Finn and Rey could use some new looks, but I would also love some Sequel Trilogy skins for Luke, Leia, and Han. Maybe even Palpatine can get something else this time around.

We don't know when this new content comes out, but hopefully, it becomes available near the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in Dec. 20.

Star Wars Battlefront II is now playable for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
