Star Wars Battlefront II Community Update Gives Us First Look at Count Dooku’s Lightsaber

The Geonosis expansion has just dropped for Star Wars Battlefront II, and EA has released an official community update video detailing the new Galactic Assault map as well as the skills of new hero Obi-Wan. What's cool is, the video also gives us a teaser for next year's incoming hero, Count Dooku.

For now, we can expect Dooku to arrive sometime in January, and after him will follow the arrival of Anakin Skywalker, plus a new game mode. We still have no idea how Dooku will play in the game, but my guess is they're going to try and have a lightsaber wielding hero who can also use Force Lightning—so far none of the playable villains has the ability.

As for appearances, I'm guessing Dooku can come with and without a cape. With Dooku and Anakin coming to the game, I should hope DICE also releases a mullet Obi-Wan skin as well as Padawan Anakin so that players can recreate the duel from Attack of the Clones. I'd be happy if they also got to make a smaller arena placed in Geonosis for Heroes vs. Villains.

After months of waiting for new content, DICE has finally delivered a huge update, and the community is ecstatic. Geonosis was a huge success, and from this point, it looks like Star Wars Battlefront II is starting to make up for its terrible launch from last year.

Star Wars Battlefront II is now playable for Xbox One, PC, and PS4.
