Star Wars Battlefront II: Closer Look at General Grievous' 'Shattered' Skin Reveals Unique Feature

While the incoming Star Wars Battlefront II expansion is focusing on the release of the Geonosis map and Obi-Wan, there's also something great coming with General Grievous. The droid general is set to have a Legendary ‘Shattered' skin in the game, and thanks to BattlefrontUpdates on Youtube, we get a closer look at it in action.

The most interesting thing about this skin is how it sets itself apart from the rest of the Legendary skins we have in the game so far. As you can see, besides Grievous getting a whole new battered look to his body, the skin actually has an additional effect that has smokes and sparks coming out of Grievous. It not only appears in-game, but you can also see the effect in action during the victory announcements at the end of the match.

While we don't have anything confirmed for the future, this appearance on the skin has a lot of potential moving forward. With Vader still not having any alternate looks, wouldn't it be cool if he had a ‘damaged' appearance as well and sparks could come out of Vader in the game? Maybe they can have smoke coming out of an alternate Palpatine's face if he had the skin from Revenge of the Sith when he deforms himself.

For now, it's good to be a member of the Star Wars Battlefront II community. DICE is making up for the disastrous launch last year, and with development done on Battlefield V, the devs are coming back to work on Battlefront.

Star Wars Battlefront II is now playable for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The Geonosis expansion comes out Nov. 28.
