Star Wars: Anakin Skywalker's Hayden Christensen and Matt Lanter Meet at Celebration 2019

Hayden Christensen may be the face of Anakin Skywalker, but the character has been voiced by Matt Lanter ever since The Clone Wars. With Star Wars Celebration taking place this weekend, Lanter has shared this new image of himself running into Christensen at the event.

Check them out:

Admittedly Christensen's career hasn't been doing so well after Revenge of the Sith, but some fans (like me) are hoping he eventually gets back on that horse. Some are even speculating that he'll be reprising the role of Anakin for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker; I mean, if Palpatine is making a return, why not have an appearance from Force ghost Anakin?

As for Lanter, he's reprised the role of Anakin for Star Wars Battlefront II, but we're expecting him to return with the upcoming final season of The Clone Wars. We don't have a release date for the show yet, but we should expect it to come to Disney's streaming service sometime in 2020. For now, it looks like the Star Wars property that Disney wants in the spotlight is Jon Favreau's The Mandalorian. That show's expected to launch alongside the service this coming November.

For now, the big reveals for Celebration are probably coming to an end. The event is still set to run until tomorrow, so there's still a chance for some other big reveal. Maybe a new look at the upcoming Galaxy's Edge for Disneyland? I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

No release date has been set for the final season of The Clone Wars, but The Mandalorian is expected to debut alongside Disney+ on Nov. 12.
