While the marketing for Spider-Man: Far From Home has been selling the lie that Mysterio is a hero, almost everyone who watched any other Spider-Man material is sure that he’s the main villain. The film had the trippiest visual scene where Mysterio goes all out with his illusions on Peter Parker, and we have some new HD stills that have been officially released.

I have to say, though Mysterio is kind of old school in the comics, they found a really great way to bring him into the modern MCU by making him the scientist behind the BARF technology. I also think it’s cool how they incorporated drones into his act, so there would be actual physical elements that could give the illusions a more solid feel for Peter.

To be honest, I kind of wish they didn’t kill him off at the end of the movie, but a lot of people are convinced that Quentin Beck is still out there. If anything, he could probably still live on with the illusion tech being run by the guy Obadiah Stane was shouting at in the first Iron Man.

I just think it would be a shame not to bring him in if a Sinister Six team-up should happen.

For now, you can catch Mysterio in Spider-Man: Far From Home which is out in theaters today.
