Spider-Man: Brian Tyree Henry Would Like to Play the Live-Action Version of Miles Morales' Dad

Atlanta's Brian Tyree Henry is getting himself more into the spotlight lately, and he's joined the Marvel family by voicing the father of Miles Morales in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. With a lot of people expecting Miles to enter the live-action world at some point, Henry says he would be happy to reprise the role of Jefferson Davis should he be given the chance.

Talking to the Observer, Henry was asked about taking on the live-action role, and he said:

"Of course, I'd like to reprise that role. Without a doubt. He was one of the most important parts of that family. The familial aspect of Spider-Verse was very important and I would happily be there for my ‘son' again."

What's interesting is, the MCU already gave us Officer Davis' brother Aaron Davis a.k.a. the Prowler played by Donald Glover in Homecoming. Henry co-stars with Glover in Atlanta as his cousin. If the MCU decides to bring Henry into the live-action fray, then his status of being Glover's onscreen cousin would be bumped up to brother.

I think it's also worth noting that Glover has voiced the animated version of Miles Morales for the animated shows.

For now, we don't know when Henry is returning to the world of Spider-Man. We know that a sequel for Spider-Verse has already been approved, but so far we have no idea when it releases. All we really have to wait on is Spider-Man: Far from Home which hits theaters July 2.
