Sonic the Hedgehog: Possible First Look at the Redesigned Sonic

When the Sonic the Hedgehog trailer dropped back in April, reception for the look of Sonic was so bad that it forced Paramount to delay the film and give the animators a chance to redesign the hero. We don't know when they'll officially reveal Sonic, but some images have supposedly leaked online and they look a lot better than the original.

You can see the images here.

We don't know if this is official yet, but a lot of people (including myself) seem convinced that this is the new Sonic. Besides the more cartoon-accurate look, he seems to have enough fur to make him look like a CG character for a film.

I think these look fantastic, and I can't wait to see when the new trailer will be dropped. Let's just hope they come up with some better music this time because Gangster's Paradise does not seem like the right song to market your kid-friendly film based on a video game.

SONIC THE HEDGEHOG is a live-action adventure comedy based on the global blockbuster videogame franchise from Sega that centers on the infamously brash bright blue hedgehog. The film follows the (mis)adventures of Sonic as he navigates the complexities of life on Earth with his newfound – human – best friend Tom Wachowski (James Marsden). Sonic and Tom join forces to try and stop the villainous Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) from capturing Sonic and using his immense powers for world domination. The film also stars Tika Sumpter and Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic.

Sonic the Hedgehog is set to come out Feb. 14, 2020.
