Shazam! to Undergo 3 Weeks of Reshoots

After this year's Aquaman, the DCEU will be introducing us to young Billy Batson with next year's Shazam!. The movie had already wrapped filming, but reshoots are set to commence this November.

This post comes from Production Weekly:

With Wonder Woman 1984 pushed to 2020 and The Flash once again getting delayed, some may worry about the state of Shazam!. If it's any consolation, reshoots are a regular part of any production, and all the worry is probably just coming from the numerous shifts that have been happening with the DCEU recently.

Interestingly enough, some think that these reshoots are set to put Henry Cavill's Superman cameo in the film. It had been reported earlier that Cavill was done with the role after he took the job to play The Witcher lead, but as it turns out, he could still be in, and it's just simply a case of WB not having any active Superman projects in development.

As for Cavill's possible cameo in the film, it was rumored that he would just make a small appearance as Clark Kent, hinting to us that he knows who Billy Batson's alter-ego is. I think it doesn't sound like that much to shoot, and I would be happy if Cavill could just set up one day from his schedule just to shoot this tiny part.

At least give the fans some hope that he's still Superman for the time being.

Catch Shazam! in theaters April 5, 2019.
