Shang-Chi Star Shares His Old Star Wars Collection

Simu Liu will be one of the main faces of MCU Phase 4 as he's set to star in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. He seems to be having a blast with his status as an MCU hero, and he just shared a photo of his childhood Star Wars collection.

We don't really know why he would post it today, but seeing as everyone has been celebrating Star Wars since May the Fourth, it's possible he's just chiming in now because he just found the picture. If anything, it's some more brand synergy on Disney's part, with a Marvel Studios star promoting Star Wars.

For now, production has been halted for Shang-Chi, and everyone is still waiting in quarantine to figure out when they can get back to work. Shang-Chi was in the middle of filming when lockdown started, so you can imagine the disappointment of everyone when they had to abruptly stop in the middle of production.

As for Star Wars though, The Mandalorian Season 2 was lucky enough to wrap filming before the outbreak, and it looks like the show is going to make its debut in October. While all the other productions have been stuck in limbo, Mando has managed to get several casting announcements the past week with Temuera Morisson, Katee Sackhoff, and most recently Timothy Olyphant.

Who knows, maybe Simu Liu could be making his own Star Wars debut somewhere down the line.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is set to come out on May 7, 2021.
