Scott Derrickson Gives Another Teaser for Doctor Strange 2

Marvel had just announced their Phase 4 slate last month, and one of the films is Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. We don't really have that much on the full plot of the film, but director Scott Derrickson has dropped a little teaser on his Twitter page:

Though Doctor Strange did introduce us to Marvel Mystic, I thought it was still pretty tame when it came to being a superhero origin movie. With MoM, I'm hoping that we can get some more out-of-this-world concepts. I mean, audiences right now are kind of used to multiverses with Rick and Morty and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, so it shouldn't be too much of a stretch when it comes to something like Doctor Strange.

With Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) said to be playing a major role, some think that this story will actually be influenced by House of M, in which Wanda Maximoff uses her powers to create an alternate world where everyone got what they wanted. With that comic ending with Scarlet Witch erasing all mutants, some think that the MCU movie will do a switcheroo and have her be the creator of mutants instead.

It's just a theory, but I think it would be a cool twist.

For now, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set to come out May 7, 2021. Scarlet Witch is set to appear in the Disney+ show WandaVision which comes out in the spring of 2021.
