The fun thing about Scooby-Doo is it can always be rebooted to fit modern audiences just with a little tweak here and there. After the live-action movies, WB is now working on an animated reboot with Scoob!, and we just got our first images from the film.

Check them out:

What's more, the first trailer for the movie is also going to come out on Monday. We don't know why WB decided to hold it off after the weekend, but we do have a lot of things already incoming like Death Stranding and the season 4 premiere of Rick and Morty.

Personally, I think the show looks fine. It's amazing how much Scooby actually resembles his animated version. If anything, the kept true to the design of the original stars Scooby and Shaggy; the looks for Velma, Fred, and Daphne seem a bit more "updated" (in a sense they could come out of a Disney movie).

One character we don't get to see in these images though is Captain Caveman (Tracy Morgan). It's also been confirmed that we're going to get appearances from other Hanna-Barbera cartoons like Muttley and Dick Dastardly. Hopefully, we get a peek of them with the trailer.

Scooby-Doo is the hero of his own story in "SCOOB!," the first full-length, theatrical animated Scooby-Doo adventure, which reveals how he and his best friend Shaggy became two of the world's most beloved crime busters. The story takes us back to where it all began, when a young Scooby and Shaggy first meet, and team up with Daphne, Velma, and Fred to launch Mystery Incorporated.

Scoob! is aiming for a release on May 2020.
