Robert Zemeckis' Welcome to Marwen Gets a Final Trailer

Steve Carell may have made a name for himself with his comedic roles, but lately it seems that he's preferred to embrace the more dramatic side of acting. Carell has teamed up with director Robert Zemeckis for the movie Welcome to Marwen, and we have a final trailer for the film.

Here's the official description:

When a devastating attack shatters Mark Hogancamp (Carell) and wipes away all memories, no one expected recovery. Putting together pieces from his old and new life, Mark meticulously creates a wondrous town where he can heal and be heroic. As he builds an astonishing art installation—a testament to the most powerful women he knows—through his fantasy world, he draws strength to triumph in the real one.

The movie also includes appearances from other big names like Diane Kruger, Gwendoline Christie, Jannelle Monae, Leslie Mann, and Eiza Gonzalaz.

As someone who actually collects toys, I think Welcome to Marwen says something very interesting about them and how they can tell stories or deal with trauma. Though the notion of collecting toys is weird to a lot of people, seasoned collectors will tell you that there's more to these figures than just being little plastic people.

With films like Aquaman, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Bumblebee, and Mary Poppins Returns dominating the box office, I'm sure the more easy-going fan might want to check out Welcome to Marwen.

Welcome to Marwen hits theaters Dec. 21.
