Justice League may have come out back in 2017, but until now fans are still demanding that WB #ReleasetheSnyderCut. Zack Snyder himself doesn't have a strong stance on the matter, but he has been sharing some images from his cut of the movie.
This latest one supposedly has Diana (Gal Gadot) finding out about Darkseid:
With the MCU having just gone through Thanos, I thought it was kind of on the nose for DC to already give us Darkseid—seeing that the two villains are kind of similar; but based on the rumors of what was originally planned, it sounded like we would have been in for something amazing, and completely different from what Marvel Studios has given us.
With WB slowly building up its DC Universe again, it's likely that we won't get a return to the Snyder-era of the DCEU. Then again, with Joker proving that these darker movies can work with the franchise, I'm wondering if WB is having a change of heart. We know that there's a huge chunk of the fanbase that wants to see this film released, and it's said that Snyder needs only a couple of million to finish it completely.
What does WB have left to lose?
You can catch Joker in cinemas now, but the DCEU narrative continues with Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) which hits theaters Feb. 7, 2020.
