Rapper Method Man Wants to Play Bishop for the MCU's X-Men

Method Man may have appeared as himself in Marvel Netflix's Luke Cage, but with the MCU disregarding that property, he now wants to be part of the MCU as a completely different character. He's just shared some photos of himself getting in shape, and he's urging fans to ask Marvel to make him the MCU's Bishop.

Check it out:

In X-Men: Days of Future Past, Bishop was played by Omar Sy (Jurassic World), and though he was a main member of the future X-Men, he didn't really have that much time to shine. Hopefully, with the MCU, Marvel finds out a perfect way to in, corporate the X-Men as well as all the rich characters that populate the universe.

If anything, I don't expect Bishop to arrive in the MCU anytime soon. With his history in comics kind of complicated, I suspect that Marvel would want to properly establish the X-Men first before adding in some of the more convoluted plot elements like time travel. Then again, maybe they can use Bishop's reality-hopping story as a way to introduce the X-Men to the MCU. For now, the sky's the limit.

At this point, I'm suspecting that Marvel Studios is planning to turn the franchise into a high-budget series instead, but with the money the property can pull in the box office, it's still likely that we're going to get some movies. Hopefully, we can get a solid update from Kevin Feige come 2021.

No release date has been set for the MCU's X-Men, but you can catch Black Widow when it hits theaters on May 01, 2020.
