New Punisher 2 Trailer Shows Jigsaw is Out for Frank Castle

As promised, Netflix has dropped a new trailer for The Punisher 2, and it's sure to get everyone hyped for the show coming back later this month.

This time around, it looks like Frank is going to have a new ally in the form of a teenage girl by the name of Amy Bendix (Georgia Whigham). Bendix is actually a character that comes from the comics, but not much is known about her. For the show, she's being described as a grifter with a mysterious past.

Billy Russo is also back, and I'm assuming he's already taken on the Jigsaw persona. What's weird is, though it looked like Frank severely disfigured him in the last season, it looks like Russo got away with it with just a few scars here and there. With Jigsaw being infamously ugly in the comics, I'm curious if the show plans to deform him some more, or maybe they just want to bank in on Ben Barnes' beautiful mug.

One character I'm not seeing though is David Lieberman a.k.a. Micro. Micro was known to be Punisher's ‘guy in the chair,' but it looks like he won't be showing up for Season 2. Hopefully, the show plans to explain this in one way or another.

With Netflix canceling the other Marvel Netflix shows, a lot of people were expecting that The Punisher gets the ax soon. For now, it looks like the streaming service just wants to promote the release before they can go ahead and cancel the show.

That's my guess anyway.

Catch The Punisher 2 on Netflix Jan. 18.
