Production for Loki to Happening Earlier Than Expected?

While it has been announced that production for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier has been delayed due to the earthquake in Puerto Rico, it looks like things are going smoothly for the Loki series. Just in, reports say that the show could start shooting earlier than expected.

According to Murphy's Multiverse, Loki was once set to begin shooting in February, but now it has a start date set for January 20. With a release date set for early 2021, it should be no surprise that the cameras should start rolling soon. Then again, we should just take this with a grain of salt.

We have yet to get an official synopsis for the miniseries, but it's been said that the show will focus on the Loki that escapes with the Tesseract in Avengers: Endgame. We don't know how he will affect the main timeline, but I'm guessing he would find out about his alternate self's attempt at change. As far as we know, the Loki in the main MCU timeline has been dead since Infinity War. The Loki of this series will be the one that just got beaten by the Avengers—meaning he's a full-fledged villain.

Besides Tom Hiddleston reprising the role of the God of Mischief, the series has also cast Sophia DiMartino in a yet to be disclosed part. A lot of people are guessing that she's the lady form of Loki, which is a plot point taken from the comics. It's also been speculated that the show could give us Kid Loki, who has his own story in modern comics as well.

For now, Loki is set to hit Disney+ in the spring of 2021.
