Possible Teaser for Zsasz's Appearance in Birds of Prey

Though Ewan McGregor's Black Mask is considered to be the main villain of the upcoming Birds of Prey film, there's also going to be another Batman rogue in the form of serial killer Victor Zsasz. Chris Messina has been hired to play the role for the film, and it's possible that he's given us a teaser for Zsasz's look in the movie.

Messina has apparently dyed his hair blonde, very much like Zasz's original appearance in the comics. Check him out:

The timing for the change in hair is very spot on, considering that the movie is expected to enter production early into the year. We don't really know how large of a role Zsasz will be playing in the movie, but my guess is he's going to be one of Black Mask's lackeys. In the comics, Black Mask was considered to be one sick sadist, and it would make sense for him to have someone like Zsasz in his employ.

Then again, I could be wrong and Zsasz would only have one scene in the whole movie.

If I do have expectations from the movie though, I do hope that Cathy Yan makes do with the R-rating given to the film. Hopefully they make Zsasz and Black Mask as terrifying as they could be onscreen. We don't just want another generic crime boss with a silly mask. Give us someone truly scary.

Birds of Prey is slated for a release on Feb. 7, 2020.
